Carbon Metallic pads are the only logical choice for street cars. Aug 14, 2011
By R. Dick I have several cars with Performance Friction carbon metallic pads, one is a 96 Camaro that I'd trashed the stock pads by 35k miles. I had the rotors turned to the recommended RMS and installed PF's pads and that set lasted to roughly 100k miles and the rotor showed no significant wear so I replaced the pads with out turning the rotors and the car now has over 150k total and the rotors look good.
On top of great rotor life they stop well and are more fade resistant then typical pads. I recommend them to everyone that intends to keep their vehicle for a while.
