Don't go down this road. Jan 05, 2010
By Mhrdegroot I just got these to go with a few other blue interior items I got to celebrate 100,000 miles in my car (2002 Mitsubishi lancer). First the good. They do look good and the antislip surface seems effective. Now the bad news. The instructions on the packaging don't seem to refer to the actual parts particularly the gas pedal instructions are unintelligible. Nevertheless, the clutch and brake pedal mounting system seemed pretty obvious so I put them on and tightened the screws and they were on solidly with no trouble. However, the mounting screws are so long that they prevent the clutch pedal from going all the way in and poke against the floor mat and in my case kind of get caught on the floor mat. The mounting system for the gas pedal is still a complete mystery to me (and yes, it happens that I AM a rocketscientist). There was no diagram to follow and none of the text seemed to refer to the parts in any conclusive way. I eventually jury rigged something with some hose clamps but am very unsatisfied with that. Bottom line: These are coming off for good as soon as I get a chance. As far as I'm concerned, they constitute a safety hazard. AVOID THIS PRODUCT!
