YFZ450 Velocity Intake System Race Kit 2.5 Inch Intake with Large Filter More power with max-modifications: big cc's, ported heads, etc. This race designed intake makes big 5-15% power gains over the stock airbox!!! Why? The factory intake tube is too small and not smooth bent, it restricts the intake flow and causes turbulence with the intake charge before reaching the carb. The Velocity Intake is a smooth bent, basically straight shot right to the YFZ's carb. This Race Intake features a 2 1/8 - 2 1/2 inch reducer at the carb into the larger 2.5 inch diameter aluminum tube. Compare to the standard intake that measures 2 1/8 - 2 1/4 . Replaces factory airbox with a mandrel bent and ultra-light aluminum intake tube, increases intake velocity for max power in dry conditions. You will feel the power increase when you completely un-restrict your YFZ's carburetor, requires an increase in main jet size but its well work the work if you want to go fast! Comes with K&N RA-0610 with water repellent Outerwears 20-1090-01 This race intake is intended for dry riding conditions, and shaves off 2.6 lbs. from stock airbox. This intake with filter and hardware is only 1.2 lbs vs stock 3.8 lbs. Intake tube starts with a T6 6061 aluminum tubing (2 1/2 diameter) and is mandrel bent 45 degrees with a flare at the last inch for the air filter mount. A welded bracket bolts to the left airbox mounting pad, now with a polished finish. No clearance problems with suspension travel, engineered for additional clearance with most aftermarket rear shocks. No additional fabrication necessary, this is a simple bolt on unit!!! This Velocity Intake System completely replaces your stock airbox and snorkel from the carburetor/throttle-body to the filter. This intake kit is not intended for use in water or wet conditions.
